In December 2nd, at tecnoPARQ, was held a workshop given by Lucas Delgado, representative of EMERGE. The workshop addressed the theme of “Food Waste and Safety” and it was foccused on the attraction of scientists and researchers to the EMERGE Labs BRF Program, which aims to prospect technologies developed in Brazilian universities that have market potential. In this edition of the program in partnership with BRF, the sector in focus is the food sector, especially the production of chicken and pork, and technologies are accepted with application throughout the entire production chain.
The event began in the morning with a presentation by CPPI, made by Flávia Ferreira Alves, CPPI Intellectual Property Technical Advisor and a lecture by EMERGE, delivered by Lucas Delgado, who presented the company and the program. During the afternoon, Lucas Delgado visited the laboratories of some departments, including the Department of Food Technology, Department of Nutrition and Health, Department of Agricultural Engineering, Department of Veterinary and Department of Chemistry, which presented their projects related to the theme of the program.
